New Cover and Custom Ship Building is Here!
I was debating between waiting until I have the formatting brought up to date with the corebook and releasing the new version of Fleet Action today. I decided, people probably want the new custom ship building mechanics more than they care about a beta looking pretty. Speaking of which, all 99 existing ships were rebuilt to use this new system. The good news is, this is not a complex system and the average person should be able to build a ship in minutes. This only slowed me down because doing it 99 times without mistakes, and while continuing to balance the system, was easier said than done. One note, ship descriptions have not been updated to fit these new stats and will come in the next update.
Electronic warfare also saw an update to how it works. Trying to make it a little more realistic and varied while also reducing the things players need to track. It's not what I'd call finished, but I like it better.
There's also plenty of unfinished new units and equipment I've left in to give a glimpse to what is coming.
The next version should be much cleaner and all the systems are slowly being dialed in to exactly what they should be. As usual, any feedback is greatly appreciated. It helps keep the drive going and its the only way to make the game reach its potential.
